Troubleshooting
I can’t see a section or button that someone else has
Section titled “I can’t see a section or button that someone else has”Your role doesn’t include it. Ask an administrator. See Roles and permissions.
My change isn’t showing on the site
Section titled “My change isn’t showing on the site”- Did you publish? Save draft keeps changes private. The status should say Published, not Published · unpublished changes.
- Design changes need Apply changes.
- If your site uses a CDN, pages can take up to a few minutes to refresh. Try a private browser window.
“Too many attempts” when signing in
Section titled ““Too many attempts” when signing in”Wait a few minutes, or use Forgot your password?. See Signing in.
My two-step sign-in code doesn’t work
Section titled “My two-step sign-in code doesn’t work”Wait for the next code; each code works once. Check that your phone’s clock is set automatically: codes depend on the exact time. If you’ve lost your phone, use a recovery code. See Two-step sign-in.
The invitation or password reset email never arrived
Section titled “The invitation or password reset email never arrived”Check your spam folder. If nobody gets emails, outgoing email isn’t set up on the server yet (SMTP_URL). Until it is, the links are written to the server log, where whoever runs the server can find them.
My upload was refused
Section titled “My upload was refused”- File is too large: the limit is 50 MB unless your administrator changed it.
- This file type isn’t supported: see the accepted formats. For iPhone photos, export as JPEG.
- This image couldn’t be read: the file may be damaged. Open and re-save it.
I can’t delete an image
Section titled “I can’t delete an image”It’s used by published content. Check Used in on the image’s page, and remove it from those pages first.
I can’t publish: “Publish the parent page first”
Section titled “I can’t publish: “Publish the parent page first””A page can’t be live under a parent that isn’t. Publish the parent page, or choose a different Parent page.
My save was refused because someone else saved
Section titled “My save was refused because someone else saved”Someone saved a newer version while you were editing. Reload to see their changes, then make yours again. Your unsaved work is backed up; you’ll be offered Restore them after reloading.
I don’t see the AI buttons
Section titled “I don’t see the AI buttons”AI assistance isn’t turned on for your site. See AI assistance.
A page looks broken after switching theme
Section titled “A page looks broken after switching theme”Go to Pages & Design → Themes and choose Switch back. Nothing is lost.
An extension broke something
Section titled “An extension broke something”Deactivate it under Extensions. Its data is kept.
I published a mistake
Section titled “I published a mistake”Open History, pick the good revision, Restore revision as a new draft, then publish. See History and restoring.
