The dashboard
Section titled “The dashboard”The dashboard shows only things that need doing; there are no vanity numbers. Each card appears only when it has something in it:
- Shortcuts: Create a page, Write a post, Add media, Edit menus, View site ↗.
- Waiting for your review (for people who publish) or Your requests in review (for everyone else).
- Scheduled: what’s going live soon, and when.
- Your drafts: your most recent unpublished work.
- Needs attention: a scheduled publish that failed, and for administrators, backup or background job problems.
- Backups (administrators): when the last backup ran and whether the last restore test passed.
When there’s nothing to do, it says You’re all caught up.
